We very sorry to learn of Peggy’s passing. She and Jack showed great kindness to the community over the years. I remember going to Aunt Peggy’s and getting one of her delicious cookies when I was a child. RIP Peggy.
Jim and Jeff I know your Aunt Peggy meant a lot to you. It seems your world is getting smaller at a rapid pace. My deepest sympathy to you. I remember when all the kids went tobogganing on the hills at “Peggy’s place”. You could almost touch the greyness in the air on the walk home. It seems so far away now.
Piggy was two grades ahead of me at public school in St. George. She was always good to us little kids and the prettiest girl in the school friendly with one and all. This kindness continued through her whole life, particularly when the HARROTT house hotel Owned by her mother and Dad became the central teenage activity in the 1940s after school and any time we could arrange it. We would put our coins in the Nickelodeon at the Harrott house and then dance ourselves silly! Great days lots of fun. Beautiful memories for nice people With Peggy setting a fine example. . What a lovely woman and friend.
