Moore, Karen (nee Hurst) It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of their mother, sister, and friend, on Thursday, April 27th, 2023 in her 75th year. Beloved wife of the late J. Garry Moore, whom she is now reunited with after 13 years. Loving mother and best friend of Michelle Seib (Rob) and Paul Moore (Heather). Cherished grandmother of Mitchell, Emma-Leigh, Molly, Dylan and Bailey. Survived by her brothers Ron Hurst (Chris) and Steve Hurst (Shelley), and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Karen was a close friend and confidant to many. She spent her career with Ontario Hydro and worked in many different capacities from clerical to education. She was a Sorority Sister with Beta Sigma Phi, a proud Red Hat Society Member, and her passion and heart was with the Celebrate Recovery Ministry which she started in Brantford. She touched the lives of many, and will be missed dearly by those who were blessed to know her. At her request cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date. A special mention of gratitude to the staff at Queensview Retirement Community for their love and care over the past three years. Arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Celebrate Recovery Ministry in Brantford Ontario would truly honour her wishes, and would be greatly appreciated www.celebraterecovery.ca A tree will be planted in memory of Karen in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
