Obituary of Gail Garvin

Marilyn Gail Garvin (nee Langs, aka Grills) Persuaded in her faith in Jesus, Gail passed in great peace from Stedman Hospice to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 12th, 2023. Adored Mom to Tamara Grills, Sweet Stepmom to Freddie Garvin (Patty), Most devoted Gramma to Jordan Embury (Jennifer) and Brittany Beales. Great Gramma GG to Rylan and Taylor. Predeceased by loving husband Fred Garvin Sr. and daughter Sandy O'Rafferty. Gail was deeply loved by her sisters Reva McCoy and Marlene Stewart (Keith), her many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Special mention to her special great niece Freedom who from birth brought her so much joy and love. She will be greatly missed by her best friends Carole N. and Edi E. Gail retired from the John Noble Home as a long term care support worker and was well loved by all of the residents and staff. Upon her retirement she used her free time volunteering and supporting monetarily many missions, including The Pregnancy Center, The Prison Ministries, The Brantford Blessing Center, The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, even attending a mission in Israel, she helped out whenever she could visiting and giving generously to any mission for widows, orphans and people in need. The family wants to share their gratitude for the amazing blessing of the extended family, friends and neighbors for the support, visits, carriage rides everywhere (MandK), flowers, prayers, Jammies, and amazing love from everyone, also the staff from Stedman Hospice whose tender loving care of mom in her last days touched us all! Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, on Friday, March 17th, 2023 from 11am to 12pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel at 12pm with Pastor Ken McDonald officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted for The Pregnancy Center of Brant, The Stedman Hospice or Evangel Church of Brantford.
