Obituary of Barbara Schein

It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Schein (nee Merk) announce her passing on Saturday, February 18th, 2023, at the age of 95 in Brantford, Ontario. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her family, her children, Walter Jr. (Aileen), Gary (Pauline) and Norman (Ann); grandchildren, Jamey (Shannon), Eric and Trevor (Sarah); great- grandchildren, Kyla, Dylan, Frederick, and Jack. Along with numerous other family members and friends. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Walter in 2001. Barbara immigrated to Canada in 1952 to follow the love of her life -Walter Schein. Together, and with a lot of hard work, they forged a new life in Canada, and were blessed with an abundance of family, friends, accomplishments and great times. Barbara never stopped being passionate, supportive and loving towards her family. In good times and difficult times, she was always there for us. Her love knew no bounds. That’s why we will always miss her and love her so dearly. Mom, Oma, friend….we love you so much, and we are grateful beyond words for everything that you did for us. We miss you already. Until we meet again - Rest in Peace. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. A tree will be planted in memory of Babette in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
