It is with shock and deep sadness we have learned of Paul’s passing. Our hearts grieve with all his precious family. He was such a kind, gentle man whose dry sense of humour we enjoyed. Brad, Kendra and Josh you each have some of his amazing personality traits. He has left a beautiful legacy to his children and beloved grandchildren.
Karen, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We have the hope of reunion in heaven. God’s peace, comfort and strength to all of you.
To Karen and the Vater Family
My sincere condolences to the Vater Family.
I enjoyed my time off and on the ball field with Paul--he loved to play.
Paul was always eager to help out in any situation.
Paul loved his family.

I will always cherish the advice I’ve received from Paul, the memories of sitting on their back deck and enjoying the summer sun. I will never forget the warm welcome of being received into their home for Sunday lunch, Christmas Eve or SuperBowl Sunday. It was an honour to know Paul and I pray for the family as they live out his legacy.
