Helen Molnar (nee Evasuk )- Passed away on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 at Fox Ridge Care Community in Brantford. Helen was born July 26th, 1925 in Glacé Bay NS . Helen predeceased by her late husband Zsolt Molnar Brantford (2020) and her first husband Charles Mackinnon, of Glacé Bay NS (1949) and her only daughter Jean Anne Durand (nee Mackinnon) (2012) of Markham Ontario. Helen was also predeceased by her parents John and Annie Evasuk , brothers George and Bill Evasuk all of Glacé Bay NS and her sister Stasia Evasuk of Toronto. Helen was widowed at a very young age and moved to London Ontario and then Brantford Ontario for employment. Helen had a long career working as a food supervisor and dietician at Brantford General Hospital from which she retired in 1990. Helen’s interests were spiritual based reading, and her deep Nova Scotia family roots visiting each summer for many years. Her family both in Ontario and Nova Scotia were most important in her life. Her granddaughter Allison Green (John) of Brooklin Ontario and grandson Derek Durand (Nicole) of Stouffville Ontario and her four great grandchildren Annie, Ryan, Avery and Ryder brought her much joy in her later years. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the many staff, doctors and nurses at Fox Ridge Care Community, Brantford for their kindness and professional attention to Helen over the past few years. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. Brantford, 519-752-4331. A celebration of Helen’s life will take place at a later date in Nova Scotia per Helen’s wishes.
