Shellington, Blythe Eileen (nee Hainer) - The family announces with sorrow, the passing of Blythe Eileen Shellington on September 22nd, 2022 in her 102nd year. Reunited with her husband and friend William Ralph Shellington (1998). Dearest mother of her only son Robert 'Bob' and his wife Stella. Loving grandmother of Joe and Marisa Pizzoferrato, Sue and Scott Jacobson and Great Grandmother to Elycia and Joseph Pizzoferrato and Amelia Jacobson. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Blythe was predeceased by her father Frank Hainer (1953) and her mother Bertha Hainer (nee Brown) (1974). Predeceased by her two sisters Olive Postill (1989) and Vera Roswell (1974). Blythe lived life with her kind uplifting positive personality. She travelled with Ralph to many airforce reunions. Blythe was active, driving up to the age of 94, and has spent the last 4 years at Amber Lea retirement Home. The family wish to thank the staff, all of whom were excellent in her care. One prized possession that she received on her 100th birthday was a letter from Queen Elizabeth II, which she cherished. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre on Monday September 26th, 2022 from 10:00 am until the service time at 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer's society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Blythe in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
