Claudette (niece) & Dell, Calgary
Aunt Irene was a good sister to Mom & came to visit & stay about every 3-5 years for a week or 2 at a time
She LOVED to talk & when she got going, so did her crossed leg !
She constantly talked about all her friends back home & if you didn’t keep up with the story - she got a little mad - it was funny to watch ;D).
Aunt Irene always wrote letters & cards to Mom even though she hardly ever got one back in return.
On one trip to Calgary we took her for a drive in the mountains - she was talking the whole way & I finally said “talk talk talk - I bet you can’t stop for 5 minutes !” - she shut right up but you could see her almost ready to burst near the end but she made it to 5 minutes - everyone had a good laugh watching her squirm
She was always putting jokes in her letters, & telling jokes any time we talked on the phone or saw her.
Aunt Irene was loved & will be dearly missed.
