Obituary of Karen Medalla

Medalla, Karen Llana - Passed away suddenly at the Hamilton General Hospital in her 49th year on Saturday, September 4th, 2021. Born in the Philippines and came to Canada in 2014. Beloved daughter of Carlos and Minda Medalla. Her siblings that will very sadly miss Karen; Michele (Rebecca), Charlote and Kenneth (Sheryll). As well as her two nephews Arche and Jasper that she loved so dearly. Karen had the biggest heart and always put her family first. Being the first child, she spent most of her life helping her family, especially her parents. She even became her younger brother's personal nanny when he was a kid. Reason why she loved her work as a nanny, Karen loved kids and always put others first before herself. She was very active in her Church and grew up with great Christian values. She was part of her church's choir and loved to play the guitar back home. She loved to sing Karaoke and she could rock out to any songs. Life will never be the same without her, she is finally at peace and getting the rest she so wanted. After her cremation, there will be a Celebration of her Life with friends and family on Saturday September 11th, 2021 at 85 Murray St., Brantford. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331. A tree will be planted in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest in memory of Karen. She is in the Hands of God now in a better place.
