Mary and Family, We were so sorry to hear of Ken's passing. I have fond memories of Ken over the years at family gatherings. Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Ron and Barb Pidgen
Nearly my entire childhood was spent on the other side of the Gaukel family fence. I don't recall a time when Ken didn't return a smile or wave, offer a hello or make me welcome when I came over to play. Wish I could be present today to offer an embrace, but please know I am holding the family in heart and mind today and always.
Much Love,
Annmarie Morais
Deepest condolences to all the family in the loss of Ken a wonderful man who loved his family and his community. He will be missed by all who knew him and will be forever remembered with love and respect.
Sincerely Wayne & Doreen Henriksen & family
I am saddened to hear of Ken's passing. I got to know Ken when I began working at the County of Brant, and you knew his passion for the South Dumfries Community Centre. I remember how few words he would put in any emails to me. I had a lot of respect for Ken and glad I got to know him. My condolences to all of his family
To Mary and Family,
I am very sorry to hear about Ken's sudden passing; he will be greatly missed. I have many fond memories of Ken at the arena in St. George and at extended family events; I always enjoyed chatting with him. He was a silent but strong pillar both in the community and in the Gaukel family; a family I've always been proud to be part of because of relatives like Ken. His loss will weigh heavy in our hearts.
Hugs from Craig, Julie, Liam, Marek & Camryn.
We are shocked and saddened to hear of Ken’s passing. He was a great guy.

Dear Mary and Family
I am sorry to hear about Ken's passing. Use to spend time with you and the family when I hung around your sister Liz. He was a great guy, hard worker and know by everyone in St. George. He will be missed.
We are shocked and saddened to hear this news. Ken was a great guy. Always willing to help any and all during his tenure with the County. Came to our aid with the Apple Harvest Festival and the Legion activities on more than one occasion. For sure a man of few words but that smile said it all. Sincere condolences to Mary and his beloved family. He will be truly missed.

Ken was a terrific big brother to me. I always knew he had my back. Right now, feeling as sad and empty as I do, I can only imagine the pain that Mary, his five kids and his grand kids must feel. My heart goes out to you all. With love. Ken’s little brother Rick.
I am so sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. Although I have not seen him in many years, I remember his battle well - 45 years ago- and how worried the whole community was. My heart goes out to all of his family. I remember Ken as being such a hard worker - always with that ready smile and quiet ways. Thinking of all of you.
Brenda Smith (née Tansley).
