Obituary of Jenneve "Jenny" Heckendorn

Heckendorn, (Jenny Gavloski) - born January 30, 1930. The seventh child of Agnes and Joseph Gavloski (deceased) was a strong, brave, resilient woman. She was our hero, always finding humour, patience and kindness in all her life experiences. It is with heartfelt sorrow that she left us July 4th, 2021. Family was vital to her. Her devoted daughter Gloria (Pollock) Summerhays and her children and grandchildren Terry (Michelle), Devon, Joshua, Amy (Keith), Henderson, Nolan, Kate (Keith Biehn), Caelan, Evan; Gloria's son Shane, Jenny's son David (Debbie), Jessica (Jonathan) Pease and their son Briceton, and Dave and Debbie's son Christopher are so blessed to have her in our lives. She was a wonderful grandmother and GG (Great-grandmother). She leaves beloved brothers Stan (the late Fran), Frank (the late Marion) Gavloski and dear sister-in-law Helen (the late Edward); brothers John (Ethel), Walter (Evelyn), Steven (Betty) and sister Mary Clatworthy. May they greet her joyfully ! Special thanks to Angela from St. Basil's who gave her Sunday communion. Many thanks and appreciation to those at Bayshore and Riverview Terrace that embraced this wonderful woman and treated her with humour, kindness and love. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Wednesday from 10-11 am. A Celebration of Jenny's life to follow in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Father Mario Hryniewicz officiating. Donations to the SPCA would be appreciated.
