Guest; Audrey J. (nee Shaw) After a long, well-lived life in her beloved Mt. Pleasant, our Mom passed away at the Brantford General Hospital, just three days short of her 91st birthday. Cherished wife of Bob Guest (2013) for 61 years. Dearly loved mother of Doug and Linda, Ken and Darla, Carolyn and Trevor Roberts, Sue and Jeff Manning and Sandy and Dave Spence. Proud and loving grandmother of Jeremy and Matt Guest, Tiffany Vander Heyden and Tyler Guest, Trevor and Adam Roberts, Chris and Katie Manning and Brad and Melissa Spence. ”Very Great” Nana/Grandma of seven little ones. Dear sister-in-law of Dorothy Guest and Mildred Vaughan. Loving Aunt/Auntie to many nieces and nephews. Mom was the baby of nine Shaw children of Pleasant Ridge Road and the last surviving member. Together with Dad, Mom farmed their beloved dairy farm, Pleasantholm Farm where they proudly raised Holstein cows and then later, grew cash crops. Mom was active in her community through the ACW, Women’s Institute and Mt. Pleasant School PTA. At the age of 52, Mom took up golf with Dad and her dear friend Donna Chapin. All Saints’ Anglican Church in Mt. Pleasant, where Mom sang in the choir, was a vital part of Mom and Dad’s lives. Mom was always singing and instilled in us a great love of music. Mom, your beautiful smile and calm, reassuring and positive presence will be missed by all who knew you. Due to COVID-19 a private service will be taking place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331. Facemasks must be worn and social and physical distancing must be adhered to. As expressions of sympathy a donation to All Saints’ Anglican Church Cemetery, the Brant Community Healthcare System, or a charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated. A tree will be planted in Memory of Audrey in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest. Somewhere beyond right and wrong, There is a garden, I will meet you there.
