Obituary of Hildegard Dorothea Asche

Asche, Hildegard Dorothea May 16, 1929-March 15, 2021 Passed away at home in her sleep on Monday, March 15th, 2021 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of Wilhelm Asche for 73 years. Cherished and much loved mother of Hildegard 'Hilda' Asche and Gunter Asche. Predeceased by her parents Franz and Magdalene Appel and her sisters Elisabeth Tilmann, Regina Pastak and Anna Wisch. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Hildegard Hilscher, and many nieces and nephews. Hilde used per prodigious energy and skill by multitasking an organic garden of fruits and vegetables by day and by relaxing at night knitting and crocheting. Her talent for original designs is displayed in the intricate dresses of her doll collection. She was particularly fond of birds and her feline friend, Baby who provided warmth and companionship during her illness. Hilde was a woman of few words and will be remembered as always willing to give a helping hand. The family wish to thank the team at CBI Home Health Care and Woodside Clinic for their compassionate care. At the family's request, cremation has taken place. A private family service has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, (519) 752-4331. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Hildegard in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
