Sykes, Fred - Passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, March 14th, 2021 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee: Copeman). Loving father of Wendy Small (Larry), Patricia Kiernicki (Johny) and Sharrie Warrington (Gary). Cherished Grandfather of Shannon (Brent), Tyler, Eric (Katelyn), Kyle (David), Krysta (Donnie), Kayla (Matt), Kara (Brad), Dalton (Emma), Kyla and Ryan. Papa to Great-grandchildren Cole, Caiden, Addison, Grayson, Riley, Sofia and Hazel-Grace. Predeceased by his parents Bernard James and Rose Sykes, sister Beverley and son David. Fred was a proud past President of SEIU local 528 for WEG (OJC), working for WEG for over 40 years. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331 on Wednesday, March 17th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. A Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, March 18th, 2021at 12:00 p.m. with a private interment to follow. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
