Malcolm, Barbara Ann - Born August 1st,1943, Barbara Ann Malcolm passed away peacefully at her farm in St. George Ontario on March 2nd 2021. Barb is survived by her brother and sister-in-law John and Beverly Malcolm, her niece and nephews Susan, Robert and Andrew Malcolm, and her grand nieces and nephew Lexy, Grace and Andrew Jr. She passed away in the place that she loved most, her family farm in St. George Ontario. She lived there for twenty years, first with her aunt Florence McLeay, and later by herself. She had a career as a high school teacher, and later as a public administrator for the provincial and federal governments, allowing her to work in many places, including Washington, Ottawa, Vancouver and Toronto. Barb was an unsung champion of philanthropy, donating to a broad range of organizations regularly throughout each year and often in response to urgent calls. She was a tireless worker for animal rights throughout her life. Her love of animals began with riding horses, and continued through ongoing activism, ferocious reading, and published letters-to-the-editors. Barb will be remembered with love by the many people she exchanged letters and articles with throughout her life, by the animals and organizations that benefited from her philanthropy, and by her friends and family. A private graveside service will take place at St. George Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford 519-752-4331.
