Barb was an unsung champion of philanthropy, donating to a broad range of organizations regularly throughout each year and often in response to urgent calls. She was a tireless worker for animal rights throughout her life. Her love of animals began with riding horses, and continued through ongoing activism, ferocious reading, and published letters-to-the-editors. Barb will be remembered with love by the many people she exchanged letters and articles with throughout her life, by the animals and organizations that benefited from her philanthropy, and by her friends and family. A private graveside service will take place at St. George Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford 519-752-4331.
