Obituary of James Draper

Draper, James (Jim) - Passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 26, 2021 in his 69th year. Brother to Linda Bradley. Loving father of Daughter, Becky Ristanovic (Ken); Two Grandsons, Austin Ristanovic (Leah), Ashton Ristanovic (Gillian); Granddaughter, Selena Ristanovic (Austin); Great-grandson, Oliver Ristanovic; Great-granddaughter, Evie Ristanovic; Nephew, Matthew Bradley (Tori) and Niece, Shannon Bradley. Predeceased by Mother, Dolly May Draper, and Father, James Ray Draper. At the family's request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are entrusted to the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, (519) 752-4331. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Canadian Cancer Society, or The Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of James in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest. Some of Jim's accomplishments include helping start the Burford minor hockey league. Jim spent many years mentoring young hockey players. Jim dedicated himself to the Canadian Mental Health Association in British Columbia. He loved helping people get back on their feet, teaching them life skills such as carpentry, growing food in the greenhouses, and running a lawn maintenance company. Jim loved to dabble in wood working, selling many of his creations throughout Brant County.
