It has been many many years that we have seen him but I myself have talked to Arthur on Messenger which was better than nothing. He always tried to keep in touch with family. Sincere condolences to Melissa, Giz, and to all of his family and friends in Ontario. I just watched to video tribute to my nephew Arthur. It was very touching and comforting to look back at happier times. I was proud of Art’s service to our country. As a high school Social Studies teacher, I would always mention him when the topic of UN peacekeeping came up in the curriculum. I am sad to say that I hadn’t seen Art, Melissa, and Giz for many years, but it doesn’t make his passing any easier. Virtual hugs to everyone in Ontario and to all of our family stretched across the country.

Melissa my deepest condolences on the loss of your father, you were his pride and joy. Gizella on the loss of your best friend and spouse of many years. I know this is a very difficult time for you both. I have so many great memories when we all got together. I will always remember Arts laugh and the way he loved to joke around. He loved to be the 'official firecracker lighter'. He was great with all the kids and had as much energy as they did. I will never forget when Art did the "Tim Horton Runs" where he would say he'll be right back and an hour later we would all still be waiting on our coffee and donuts. So sorry for the loss of your dad Melissa, he was a fun loving joker kind of guy. He was a well loved brother in law. We use to love playing cards with him. Especially when he use to use the phrase " House rules". May he rest in peace but if I am right he is playing cards with grandpa Deutsch and grandpa Peever. So sorry we can't be there with you. We will be there at the virtual service.
