Broughton, Maida Ruth
Suddenly, in hospital, on Monday, August 31, 2020, at 81. Maida was born on October 14, 1938, and leaves behind Richard, sons George (Margaret), Keith (Christine), and Gerry (Kelly), grandchildren Melissa (Derrick), Francine, Andrew, step-grandchildren Beth (Rhys), Michelle (the late Ryan), great grandchildren Hunter, Shelby, Billy, Easton, Elliot, Edward, great-great grandson Devyn, siblings Audrey (Lee) and Norman (Janet). Predeceased by her parents Robert (Bob) and Alice Holden, daughter Brenda, grandson Ryan, siblings Brian (June), Bernard (Joyce), Murray (Donna), and Marvin (Midge). Following cremation, visitation will be held at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. Brantford, 519-752-4331 on Tuesday, September 8th, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. There will be an old-fashioned pot-luck and live music
hoe-down as a Celebration of Life held at 1149 Concession 8, Simcoe, on Saturday June 05, 2021, starting after three. Please bring a chair. Donations to Brant County SPCA or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Maida will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
A tree will be planted in memory of Maida in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
