Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dr. Charles Hewitt Pickett, MD
September 11th, 1933 (Scarborough) - August 20th, 2020 (St. George)
Dr. Pickett was a hard working family physician and coroner, musician, quirky collector, life-long curious, avid reader and learner, and erudite punster. Only son of Leita and William Pickett, Charles is survived by Dorothy, his bride of 62 years. He was a particularly generous father and grandfather, and is survived by his children Catherine, Ruth (Jürgen), William, David, Laura and Matthew (Ruth Ann), by his grand-children Mary (Joseph), Laura (Jose), Kai, Keegan, Anna, Amy (Robert), Graeme, Gregory (Blanca), Heather (Dana), Adam (Lindsey), Patrick, Andrew, Alexander, Jonathan and Daniel. He was blessed with great-grandchildren, Dylan, Emma, Jaice, Connor and Aurora, Trevor, Marian and Ethan. So long, Great Grandpa! We love you. Charles will be remembered with gratitude for his care offered in vocation, family, church and community, as well as the life he brought into the world and fostered. For his support of, and joy in, music we are grateful. When time and pandemic allow, a public funeral service will be announced to be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 2 Andrew St, St George Ontario, N0E 1N0, where memorial gifts can also be directed if so desired. Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. Brantford, 519-752-4331. A tree will be planted in memory of Dr. Pickett in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
