Obituary of Karen Moir

Karen Ann (Bailey) Moir Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on the evening of Tuesday July 7th, 2020 - taken too soon, at the age of 52. Family was everything to Karen; blessing her loved ones with a beautiful unwavering smile, infectious booming laugh (her cackle), and the occasional cowbell. Karen leaves behind her adored children Laura, Joshua, and Jacob (her love and pride evident in the 3271 pictures of them on Facebook). Big sister to Dan (Vanessa) and Greg (Candess); loving aunt to Kaelen, Dylan, and Ciara. Beautiful first born daughter to parents Jack and Virginia. In recent years Karen found love and renewed joy with her partner Dave (Brudz) (the nicest man in the world). Karen was a proud nurse, continuing a tradition of a long line of nurses in the family. She was thrilled to be the Director of Wellness at Appleby Place Retirement Residence, where she considered her co-workers family. Donations in memory of Karen can be made to the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation. Visitation will be held at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Home 88 Brant Ave, Brantford, on Tuesday July 14, 2020 from 11-1pm, followed by a small private family service. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date to honour Karen’s beautiful spirit with all who loved her. A tree will be planted in memory of Karen in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
