FIELD, SINCLAIR "BUD" COLEMAN
November 6, 1947 - June 18, 2020
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Bud at his home on Thursday, June 18th in his 73rd year. Bud is the much loved husband of Jane Field (Tincknell) for forty three years and loving and devoted father to Chris Harper (Donna) of Acworth, Georgia, Carin Harper (Gen) of Gresham, Oregon, Roberta Armstrong (Louie) of Tillsonburg, Ontario and Catharine McGregor(Greg) of Penticton, B.C. Proud Poppa of Brittani Floyd (Ryan), Allie Minkler (Mollie), Cooper and Boston Armstrong. Bud is predeceased by his parents Catharine and James Field and his brother Terry and wife Sharon. He will be fondly remembered by his sister Frances Westgarth, brother Patrick Field(Nadia), sister-in-law MaryAnn Leigh(Bill), brother-in-law Jim Tincknell(Bonnie) and many nieces and nephews.
Bud was a genuine, caring human being with a zest for life. He never met a stranger and gave the world's best hugs and handshakes. He loved the game of hockey. As a young man he was thrilled to have played against Bobby Orr and finally had to hang up his skates at age 70. For twenty years he loved to ski the Austrian Alps. He also loved to travel to many parts of the world with Jane and friends. He spent his whole life at the family cottage at Bass Lake, Orillia and enjoyed nothing more than to teach family members to water ski. His passion was flying especially in the “Silver Bullet”. Many people enjoyed flights in this 1958 twin Cessna. Well respected in the aviation industry he worked for 43 years in the family business (Brant Aero) at the Brantford Municipal Airport. His love of life was only surpassed by his love of family and friends. He loved nothing more than to have people to their home to share a “brontosaurus” meal with them. Bud, a man of faith, actively supported St. Paul's United Church in Paris.
The family wishes to thank Dr. W. Hanna of St. Joseph's Hospital and Dr. O. Levine of the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton for their excellent support and care. A private family funeral will be held at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 519-752-4331 and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In memory of Bud, donations can be made to St. Paul's United Church, the local Food Bank and the S.P.C.A.
Donations, condolences and a web-cast of Bud's Memorial Service are available online at www.beckettglaves.com.
A tree will be planted in memory of Bud in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
