ROOKE, Kathryn
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Kathy Rooke. Kathy leaves her partner, Michelle Smith, stepdaughter, Stephanie Trickett and son-in-law Aaron Trickett; her favourite siblings Cam Rooke and Sherri Carlton, and Patty and John Tipper, nieces and nephews Jasmine and Ian, Zoe and Jamie, Erin, Daniel and Jack. Kathy will be sadly missed by her in-laws, Gerri and Ty Kalinovich. Kathy is predeceased by her parents Ken and Barb Rooke. Kathy was a Medical Lab Technologist at McMaster Hospital, in the core lab and she will be missed by many current and previous coworkers. Kathy had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to make people laugh. She was a fantastic storyteller and would have people laughing from beginning to end. Kathy and Michelle are extremely grateful for the love and support of so many wonderful family and friends during Kathy’s illness. Kathy is patiently waiting for the rest of us, on the flip side, at her busy table where she will save a seat for each of us. Arrangements entrusted to the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, 519-752-4331. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held on December 8th, 2019 at the Royal Canadian Legion from 1:00-5:00 p.m., 9 Toll Gate Road., Brantford. At Kathy’s request, please wear comfortable, colourful clothing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brantwood Community Services.
