SEARS, Carol Ann "Mom" (nee Prodan) Surrounded by loving family Carol passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27th, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital Hamilton, in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Gordon Sears for over 50 years. Loving mother Derek (Chantalle Lalonde) Sears, Chalena (Leonel Lourenco) Noel and Laryn (David) Hussey. Much loved baba of Johnathon, Natasha, Robert "DJ", Alex, Mercedes, Cristen, Talia, Cindy, Kristy, Brie, Cameron and Carter and many adopted grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Patricia and Mike (Sylvia). She will also be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. Carol was a long time employee of the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services with more than 25 years service and she lead the community scrapbooking classes in Scotland. Many thanks to the nurses and doctors at Norfolk General Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital Hamilton. Friends will be received at the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Wednesday, October 30th, from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Scotland Public Library would be greatly appreciated.
