BANNISTER, Marilyn Janet Suddenly on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019, Marilyn Janet Bannister, loving wife, mother and nana passed on at the age of 72. Marilyn was born in Windsor, ON to Thomas and Lorna Bardsley. She received her registered nursing diploma in 1969, and practiced nursing for 43 years in Brantford, ON. On October 18th, 1969, she married Wayne Keith Bannister. They raised two children on their farm in Scotland, ON. Besides the love she had for her family and nursing career, Marilyn had a large network of friends whom she cherished dearly. Marilyn loved to travel, decorate her home, host gatherings and try many new recipes. Marilyn was known for her kind heart, infectious smile, generosity and upbeat spirit. Marilyn is survived by her husband Wayne, children Todd (Cheryl) and Claudia, and her precious granddaughters Meagan and Alyvia. She will be deeply missed by the Bannister family, her cousin Don (Diane) and ALL those she touched. The family would like to recognize the compassionate care provided by Dr. V. Francescutti, Dr. K. Zbuk and Barb and Dr. C. Shott at the Juravinski hospital. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Sunday, October 6th, from 2-5 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Oakland Cemetery. Donations to the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
