Obituary of S.H. Jean Whitman

WHITMAN, Jean

It is with great sadness the family of Jean Whitman announce her passing on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 at Tranquility Place, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late William Whitman (2000). Much loved mother of Douglas Whitman (Jane), Anne Kavander (Peter LaFleche) and Joan Whitman (Gary Pitts). Loving grandmother of Lisa, Christopher, Tamara, Jennifer, Caitlin, Elissa and Nigel and GG to 14 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. Jean graduated from the Toronto Western Hospital School of Nursing and was an active member of Daughters of the Nile, Order of the Eastern Star and Holy Trinity Anglican Church in St. George. At Jean's request cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Jean's Life will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 2 Andrew Street, St. George, ON on Friday, October 4th at 11:00 a.m. Interment Privately at St. George Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Church immediately following the service. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Kidney Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated
