It is with real sorrow that I hear of Shirley's passing. What a wonderful person !
Her sparkling personality, broad and welcoming smile, and easy laughter were always a delight. I first got to know Bob & Shirl in the 40s when I was a youngster (my Grandmother being Alice Hingley Walker), often visiting the family on Catherine Ave.
From the late 50s onward I seldom saw Shirley and Bob due to geographic separation, but when it did occur (the latest time being the 100th birthday of Aunt Margaret Walker) Shirley was always the same -- bright, cheerful, energetic and most welcoming !
Be assured that my wife & I share your grief for this remarkable lady.
