MANNEN, Grace E. (nee Archer) After a long, devastating struggle with Alzheimer’s Grace passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Brierwood Gardens on Friday, October 26th, 2018 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of Gilbert Mannen, married these 68 years. Loving mother of Alice, Carl (Carol), Les (Lana) and Joyce (Perry). Grace was a grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 11. She was a devoted and fun loving grandmother. Dear sister of Phyllis, Frank and Elgin who are still with us, and Ross and Ray who have gone on ahead. She will be fondly remembered by all of her family and friends. Grace was a talented artist and enjoyed playing the piano and reading. In her younger years she was a member of Balfour United Church, and worked at the BGH and for Dr. Avison, and there were many other accomplishments. Many sincere thanks to her wonderful care family at Brierwood Gardens, who made her as comfortable as possible these past 13 years. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE , 88 Brant Ave. (519) 752-4331 on Tuesday, October 30th, from 12-1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment St. George Cemetery. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
