Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, September 21, 2018 in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Ruth for 45 years. Loving father of Laurie, Travis (Diane) and Jason. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Katelyn, Lauren, Brandon and Devon. Great-grandfather of Madison, Marshall and Kayden. He will be missed by his fur babies, Betto and Brylee and his grand fur babies, Bobby and Becca. Son of the late Sarto and Constance and step-son of Mercia Lavoie of New Brunswick. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Survived by many sisters and extended family. Laurence was a member of the International Painters Union Local 205. He will be fondly remembered by his family, friends and colleagues. Family would like to thank the staff on the 7th floor at the Brantford General Hospital for their compassion and care of Laurence. Friends will be received at BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Laurence in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
