Obituary of Donald Trenchard

Trenchard, Donald Winston Passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in his 86th year. Predeceased by his wife Lorraine (1997). He leaves behind his children Carol-Anne (Brad) Holmes and Donald (Saskia) Trenchard. Deeply missed by his grandchildren Aaron and Emily and great grandchildren Aleathea, Lily and Barrett. Don was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia and one of fourteen children born to Herbert and Mary Trenchard. He leaves behind his brothers Lloyd, John, Robert, and sister Myrna. Don proudly served fifteen months of active duty in Korea as a gunner and ammunitions driver between 1952-1953. He was awarded the Korea Medal and UNS Medal. He is a lifetime member of the Gunners Club. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Brierwood Gardens for their understanding, care and respect during dad's transition from his home to retirement living. While his stay was brief, we believe he made a lasting impression.
