Harding, Winnifred Agnes (nee Matthews)
Passed away peacefully on Monday, March 12, 2018 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late James Harding. Loving mother of the late September Johnston (nee Harding), Mark (Debbie) Harding, Albert (Lisa) Harding, David Harding (Shelley Wagstaff). Cherished grandmother of Jason and Chelsea of Texas, Caitland (Mike) Nobbs, Courtney Harding and Keegan Harding, Josh Harding, David Harding Madison Harding and Andrew Harding. Great-grandmother of Zoey McGinnis of Texas and Chloe and Sophia Nobbs. Sister of Pam (Tom) McPherson, Predeceased by her brother Albert Matthews (Linda). Sister-in-law of the late Diane Matthews. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Winnifred started her career in Brantford as the Woman's editor for the Brantford Expositor. She was active in the Brantford Community with the Boys and Girls Club, the YMCA, served on the Glenhurst Art Council and a member of the Universities Womans Club of Brantford. She was a Community Liason for Mohawk College and a former Council Member for the city of Brantford. Friends will be received at BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Ave. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 2:00 -4:00 pm and 7:00 -9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 12:00 pm. Interment at Farringdon Burial Ground. Donations to the Boys and Girls Club, Heart and Stroke Society, Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Winnifred in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
