My sincerest condolences to Mike's loved ones. I was Mike's trainer at the Gretzky Centre, and I also considered him a friend. He was generous, thoughtful and had a great sense of humour. He will be missed by many.
My most sincere and heartfelt condolences to you. I had no idea Mike was ill and am deeply saddened by learning of his passing. Years ago at the old Gretzky Centre gym, Mike used to fill my water bottle when I was running on the treadmill. He was one of my biggest fans who supported me early on in my running career. Grandpa Pere was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed spending time with him. I am happy that he was able to pass away in peace with loved ones. May his light and love live on for always.

As hard as this is we both want you all to know Mike was well loved by many , and will be missed in many ways. He was a true friend, confident and I had a lot of respect for Mike. He was like a brother to me. A piece of Mike will stay with me forever and I am so glad I was able to get to see him before heading south last fall. I will cherish the golf game we shared and many laughs.
