Obituary of Robert Eddy

Eddy, Robert Gordon - It is with profound sadness that the family of Doctor Robert Gordon Eddy announce his passing on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018 at the Brantford General Hospital. Dr. Eddy was born October 23rd, 1929 in Brantford to parents Constant and Florence Eddy. Predeceased by his brothers Edward Eddy and Thomas Eddy and his daughter Michelle McFarland. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Sandra, his daughter Jeanette Dodge (Steve) and son Robert Eddy (Trish). Dearly loved stepfather of Allan Judson (Cheryl) and Jason Judson (Rochelle). Beloved Papa of Kassandra Dinsmore (Adam), Jordan Mackenzie and Brendan and Ashley Judson and great-grandfather of Mackenzie and Addley Dinsmore. Dr. Eddy was very dedicated to both his patients and profession and he was loved and respected by many. In addition to having his own practice for 55 years he served on many boards. He was the head of the United Way and was Chief of Staff at the St. Joseph's Hospital. Thank you to Dr. Coke and all the staff on the critical care floor. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Dr. Eddy's life will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. with Reverend Stephen Iverson officiating. "Our family will be glad to welcome you to join us for a social time in the Magnolia Reception Centre at Beckett-Glaves at the conclusion of the service." Donations to the SPCA, the Juravinski Cancer Centre or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. 

A tree will be planted in memory of Dr. Eddy in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
