Condolences
Goldie's passing is a sad event for me but the memories I have of her are anything but. She always made me feel welcome in her home. She made everyone feel special. She also put up with a lot of teenage nonsense. In later years she extended her love to my family. Both she and Len were important people in my life. I feel privileged to have known them. I will miss Goldie very much. My sincere condolences to everyone in the Smith family.
Tomorrow we lay to rest my mother- in - law of .45 years. I first met Goldie as a student at ODCVI where Goldie was the favourite secretary in the office. She was always smiling and always helpful. Years later I was fortunate to become her daughter- in - law. Goldie had a zest for life and a sense of humour. Her big smile and laughter was a delight for all of us. Goldie, I will miss you. Tomorrow, two of your great granddaughters are wearing necklaces that were yours and that is very special. We will keep your humour and zest of life dear in our hearts and we will miss you....the mother, the mother- in-law, the Nannie and the great Nannie....may your legacy live on in all of your family. Rest in peace Goldie. Love...from one of your ding dong daughter-in-laws. Sylvia xo
It is with great sadness that we the residents and staff from Champlain Manor Retirement Home send our condolences to the Smith family on the loss of their mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Goldie.
Goldie was very active in many activities at Champlain Manor as well as being the Secretary/bookkeeper for our Resident Council and helping to organize and run the Raffle Table at our yearly Christmas Bazaar.
Goldie was such a lovely lady and will be greatly missed.
My condolences to the entire Smith family. RIP Goldie you will be missed by all those that loved you.
