MARSHALL, Dorothy, Lucille (nee Klersy) 1925-2017 Passed away peacefully at Bay Haven Senior Care Community, Collingwood on July 11th, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Bill (Dec. 2008) for over 64 years and devoted father of the late Jane Barbara Kuhn, and the late Bill Jr. She is also predeceased by her only sister Barbara Overgaard. Dorothy was admired and respected by her son-in-law Jim (Lucy) Kuhn, and daughter-in-law Cathy Marshall. Nana was a wonderful role model for her grandchildren Trevor, Robert, Kristen, and Peter, and great-grandsons Marshall, Boden, Mason and Oliver. She will also be fondly remembered by Barbara Overgaard’s family Linda, Grant, Mark and Mark's daughter Taylor. Born in Brantford, Dorothy led a very active life in both her community and her church and was a longstanding member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was an avid sewer, and walker. Nana loved life, entertaining family and friends, and square dancing all over the world with Bill (something they enjoyed well into their 80s). Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford on Friday, July 14th, from 12:30 -1:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Faith Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Dorothy in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
