Obituary of Mary Chapin

Chapin, Mary Passed away suddenly in the comfort of her own her home, on Monday, April 3rd, 2017, in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Jack Chapin for over 62 years. Loving mother of the late Joel (2004), and Marianne (Jeff) Dwyer. Devoted Nanny of Christopher (Bailey), Michael (Jacque), and Stephen (Alison), and her great-granddaughter Mackenzie. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Agnes McMullen (nee Roberts), her sisters Dorothy (Wilfred) Culver, Shirley (Doug) Radford, and Bernice (Roy) Caugell, and her brothers Ronald (Phyllis) McMullen, Ross (Marg) McMullen, and infants Ralph and Reginald. Mary will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She proudly worked as a Bell Telephone Operator and loved to spend her time with children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Thursday, April 6th, 2017 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. and on Friday, April 7th from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Vanessa Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Mary in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
