December 17, 1924 to March 23, 2017.
With her family by her side, Meta Simkus passed peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday March 23, 2017 at the age of 92.
Loving wife, for 48 years, of the late George Simkus, and one-of-a-kind mom to Angela Thomson & Haico Krijgsman, Mona & Bill Mehlenbacher and Heidi Brown deGoldaracena.
Loved with all her heart she leaves behind her grandchildren Alex, Andrew, Nicholas and Leah Thomson, Mackenzie (Natalie Thomson) Spencer and Grace Mehlenbacher, Carolina deGoldaracena, great grandson Sidney Thomson and a great hat collection.
Known for her strength, wit and incredible humour she will be sadly missed by her many family, friends, resident and staff of Parkview Retirement Home.
Visitation will be held on Sunday March 26, 2017 from 3 to 5pm at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, Ontario
A small graveside ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday March 27, 2017 at St. Johns Lithuanian Cemetery, 2185 Stavebank Road, Mississauga Ontario
A tree will be planted in memory of Meta in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
