Condolences
It is an honour to share a few words about Marie, who meant so very much to both of us.
We saw her devotion to Christ in the ways she contributed to the worship of the church with her skill on the piano and the organ.
So many times the whole congregation was made aware to the power and the love of God as we sang some then great hymns of the church. Marie was so open to learning new hymns, Gospel songs and choruses. Her musical skill was well know to so many. Beyond that was the serious wish to make the worship times events in which our heart and minds were lifted to God in praise and adoration.
Esther and I many times were invited to her home where the meals were really delicious as well as plentiful. Such great and yummy memories.
I (Alden) was with Marie through some very difficult times when Don was not well and it was an homer indeed to share painful and difficult times as well as times of celebration and joy.
It is impossible to find words that can give full expression to the feelings of our hearts as we give this short tribute to a woman of God. She was unsurpassed in her love to God, her family and the many people whose lives she touched.
Sorry to hear of Marie's passing. I will remember her kind smile at so many family reunions. It was lovely to see all the lovely pictures on the slideshow.
Lots of love,
Katy, Jolyon and family
so sorry to hear of Marie's passing
Hope in time the good memories will replace the sadness
I was very sorry to learn of cousin Marie's passing. She was always one of my favourites and her personality was such that, from childhood, whenever I've seen a "Sweet Marie" chocolate bar, I've thought of her. Rest in peace, Marie. And kind thoughts to the rest of the family.
The video of Aunt Marie is lovely and a great tribute to her and her love for her family. My prayers are with all of you.
