Please share a memory of Deborah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Passed away, peacefully at her home, surrounded by family on December 19th, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Debi was born in Kingston, Ontario. Debi is survived by her devoted husband Doug, her mother Florence of Kingston, her three daughters Tarie (Jesse) of Green Bay, Sam (Shawn) of Paris, and Heather, her grandson Brady Houliston, her brothers Rick of Smithfield, Thor of Kingston, and her sisters Enid of Southampton and Cindy of Kingston. She is predeceased by her father, Ray Johnson of Southampton and her favourite aunt, Jesse McColl. Debi's talents in sewing and artistic craft lead to a successful career in retail management at Mary Maxim and Leisure World and her decorator’s touch can be found in countless homes of friends and family. Her love of the beach and sun is only surpassed by her love of her family and her friends. A Celebration of Debi's Life will be held at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. Brantford, on Friday December 23rd from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with words of remembrance being held at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Doctor Bryan Lee and the nurses and staff at the cancer clinic in Brantford, and Starla Meyers and the dedicated nurses of the Bayshore Home Care.
