Obituary of Heather Mary Bright

BRIGHT, Heather Mary (nee Ching) Passed away peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital, following a brave battle with Cancer, on Wednesday, December 7th, 2016 in her 76th year. Loving mother of Gabrielle Bright (Trevor Grace), and Kathy (Darren) Garbutt. Devoted grandmother of Abbey, and step-grandmother of Justin, Dawson, and Devon. Predeceased by her parents John "Jack" and Gladys (Moseley) Ching. She will be fondly remembered by her other family members and friends. Born in Devonport, Plymouth, England, Heather grew up in Galt (Cambridge) and lived in Brantford for over 45 years. She was an owner of Sternson Limited and Bright and Associates Financial Planners. She was very active in the Brantford community as President of several organizations including the Kiwanis Club of Brantford, CFUW, and the Brantford Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the Brantford Economic Development Board, Brant Skills Development Board, Jaycettes, and Pollution Probe among many others. Friends will be received at the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, on Tuesday, December 13th, 2016 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Anglican Church, 4 Pearl Street, on Wednesday, December 14th, 2016 at 2:00 pm followed by a gathering at The Brantford Club, 98 George Street, Brantford. Cremation has taken place.
