Winter, Violet (nee Place)
Passed away peacefully, with loving family by her side, on Monday, Nov. 21st, 2016 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Albert Winter for over 35 years (1988). Loving mother Karen (Bill) Clark, Rickey (Debbie), Kathy (Brian) Bower, Janet Winter (Len Kraszewski), and Cheryl (Jeff) Farrington. Devoted grandmother of Tara (Craig), Rob (Jen), Melissa, David (Jen), Brandon, Trevor (Jess), Kyle, Nathan, Jonathan, Jennifer, Brittany (Brandon), Ryan, and Rachel, and her great-grandchildren Blake, Tristen, Carson, Brody, Riley, and Cameron. She is survived by her sister Mabel (Miro), and brothers Jim (Rose), Leonard (Marnie), and Ed (Cindy). She is predeceased by her parents and 3 brothers. She will also fondly remembered by her fur baby Mia (her dog), and many other family members and friends. Violet was totally devoted to her family, and loved to have her everyone around. Family gatherings were her favourite thing. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Thursday from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Friday from 12 -1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Ontario Lung Association would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Violet in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
