Obituary of Johan Stulen

Stulen,Johan - passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on August 16,2016. Beloved husband of Francis for 64 years. Cherished father of Henry (Susan), Susan (Ross Cochrane), John (Libby) and James (Mariana). Much loved grandfather of Ben, Greg and Beth Stulen; Graham, Lisa and Karen Cochrane; Matthew, Jeremy, Dominic and Lucy Stulen; and Ethan Stulen. “John” was in his 88th year, emigrating from The Netherlands in 1952 and living a full life in his adopted country of Canada. Retiring from Accounting at Hussman Store Equipment after 23 years, John enjoyed family, camping, fishing, and was also active with golf and curling . Many thanks to the wonderful staff at the John Noble, Day and Stay who were a joy in John’s life for numerous years as he was challenged with dementia. More recently, John was attended to by the wonderful caregivers at the JN residence, to whom the family is grateful. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in the Chapel at the John Noble Home in Brantford on Friday, August 26 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the John Noble, Day and Stay “bus fund” are appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Johan in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
