Telfer, Viola Myrtle - Passed away peacefully at the Chartwell Tranquility Place Retirement Home on Thursday, May 5th, 2016 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late D. Wallace Telfer (1980). Loving mother of Dianne (Bruce Crow), Kim Verberk, Scott (Penny) Telfer. Caring grandmother of Jenn (Buddy), Michelle, Matthew, Sam (Kyle), Angie (Mike), Jacob (Brittany) and Zach (Wes). Great-grandmother of Mackenzie and Anna. Dear sister of Mildred and Fred. Predeceased by her siblings Howard, Doris, Edith and Grace. Viola was a longtime member of Wesley United Church and the Brantford Red Hatters. At Viola's request, cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Wednesday, May 11th, 2016 from 10 - 11 a.m. A Celebration of her life will follow, in the chapel, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Viola in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
