Laurentino, Amelia Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 4th surrounded by her loving family in her 84th year. Amelia was the beloved wife of the late Jose Laurentino. Loving Mother to Maria (Manuel), Susan, Margie (Dennis) Cherished grandmother to Amilcar (Paula), Micheal, Kayla, Tasha and Justin. She is adored by her many great-grandchildren and predeceased by her grandchildren Nancy and Manuel. Amelia will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was the matriarch of her family and touched the lives of many people with her love, kindness and wisdom. "Though she be but little, she is fierce!" - William Shakespeare " Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave on Thursday from 2 - 4 (Rosary at 3 p.m.) and 7 - 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's (Our Lady of the Assumption) Church, 133 Murray St. on Friday, January 8th, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. If wished, donations in Amelia's honour can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation. A tree will be planted in memory of Amelia in in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
