Condolences
I met John only for a brief time when we both worked for Alexander Tools, he in the Brantford office, and I in Toronto.
When we met at monthly sales meetings John always struck me s being a decent and honorable person.
I offer my belated condolences to his family and friends
John was a wonderful friend while he was here in Tillsonburg. We valued his spiritual leadership, encouragement and love wrapped by his keen sense of humour. To Carol and family, thank you for sharing John.
Dear Carol and family,
I am so sorry about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. It was a pleasure to have John as our pastor at Drumbo Baptist Church. I enjoyed his sense of humour, his cheerfulness and joy. His love for his family showed through everything he said.
The special music events he organized filled the church and brought so many people together. I am glad I was able to meet him and you Carol through our church.
I used to see John once in a while in Brantford at a Tim Horton's on a Sunday afternoon on my way to work; he was having a nice chat with Roy and the other gentlemen.
I hope in the future you will remember all the special moments you shared throughout your life together.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Serryn Stephenson
Anyone can be forgotten but not a man who chose a life of selflessness and generosity.
John always stopped and had something to say whenever we were outside. We will miss that. Our sympathy goes out to the family.

It is with great sadness to receive the news of John's passing. When he was Interim Pastor at Avenue Road Baptist Church he was well loved, and a wonderful Preacher, Teacher and friend! Those were extrodinary years for us. John directed us to Carol's excellant "Pastoral Care" course as well. It was a privilege to have John as our Pastor and Friend.
With heartfelt sympathy and prayers to your family and friends.

Dear Carol and family,
I am sorry for your loss. I first met John at Swiss chalet when we has dinner with Tammy and Gord Day and then again at the Burgessville Baptist Church. Even though I did not know John very long he touched my life in so many ways. He was like the grandfather I wished for when going up. I will miss our talks and how he always had time to ask me how I was doing or how my day is going, but most of all I will miss his hugs and smiles. He was a true man of the Lord and he will be truly missed, but I know he is watching all of us from up above with Jesus and the Lord by his side. He will always be with you in your hearts and every in everyone who he had touched in his life time.
All the best. Sending my love and prayers

Carol, please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. The world has lost a wonderful man and he will be missed by many.
Dear Carol: Please accept our sincerest condolences. Whenever we think of John, smiles come to our faces and often rekindled laughter about the pranks and his personal "mishaps" over the years. John unabashedly revisited his sometimes hilarious mistakes without reservation or shyness all to our entertainment as he enjoyed laughing along with us. We were privileged to know John and watch first-hand as he sincerely and effectively ministered to many over the years. Our thoughts and prayers go with you, your children and their families at this difficult time. Isaiah 40:31 Sincerely, Wayne and Sharon Vipond

Its with a sad heart that I learned today of Pastor John's passing yesterday. I will always remember John for his love and caring of his fellow man. He will be missed. I only knew him for a short few years. During that time he showed me his great sense of humor as we discussed life in general over a good cup of coffee while he was our Pastor at FBC Tillsonburg
Rest in Peace brother.
We are so saddened by the news of the loss of a great man. He will be fondly remembered. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time. May God wrap his comforting arms around you as He welcomes Uncle John home.
