Gilbert, George Evert
Passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 25th, 2015 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee Masterson). Loving father of Darryl and his wife Patricia. Devoted grandfather of Dina, Denise (Rick), Deborha (Ivan), and Diana (Mike), his great-grandchildren Micheal, Jamie, Kyleigh, Trista, Tanner, and Summer, and his great great-grandchildren Damien and Emma. He is predeceased by his parents Charles Gilbert and Bertha (nee Dunham). He will also be fondly remembered by his nephew Leonard Peters, Douglas Masterson, and Reg Schelhas and many friends. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Friday, Nov. 27th from 12 - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Thank-A-Vet Dinner through Assumption Collegiate would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of George in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
