Obituary of Evelyn Luya

Luya, Evelyn May - Passed away very peacefully, with her family at her side, at the Brantford General Hospital on, Saturday, October 10, 2015 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Gordon Luya for 63 years. Loving mother of Pauline, Christine, Geoffrey, Malcolm, Gordon, Yvonne and Jeanette. Cherished by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Lillian Cole, of England. Evelyn immigrated from Liverpool in 1963, with her husband Gord, and 7 children. Many thanks to the staff of the Brantford General Hospital, for their care and support during this time of need. Family and friends are asked to be at the Mount Hope Cemetery for a graveside service on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Evelyn in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
