Obituary of Tara Elkin

Elkin, Tara Leanne Passed away peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice, Hankinson House on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 in her 47th year. Beloved wife of Kevin Collins. Step-mother of Kyle Collins. Loved daughter of David F.W. and the late Lois Ann (Flynn) Elkin. She will also fondly remembered by her brother Colin Elkin (Kim Pitblado) and her many other family members and friends. She graduated from George Brown College's Baking and Pastry Arts Program, and her passion for baking continued throughout her life. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, on Thursday, Oct. 1st, 2015 from 12 to 1 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel on Thursday at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place. A Private Graveside Interment Service will be held. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 442 E Grey Street Brantford, ON N3S 7N3, or Hankinson House Grey Street c/o Stedman Community Hospice 7 St. Joseph's Lifecare Foundation, Brantford, ON would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Tara in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
