Obituary of Kazimierz Mysliwy

Mysliwy, Kazimierz Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on Monday, August 31, 2015, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Bronislawa Mysliwy (Nee Dworak). Loving Father of Richard (Helen) and Stanley (Colleen) Mysliwy. Grandfather to Patricia (Chad), Mark (Chris), Adam and Andrea (Tyler). Great-grandfather to Emily. Kazimierz, born in Poland, was a proud World War II veteran who was deported with family to Siberia and later served in the 3rd Carpathian Battalion 8th British Army, serving in the Middle East, Palestine, Iraq, Egypt, North Africa and was in the famous battle of Monte Cassino, in Italy. He was a proud member of the Polish Combatants. Special thanks to Dr. Hanley and the nurses at the Brantford General Hospital, health care nurses and the C.C.A.C. Friends will be received at BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, on Tuesday, September 8th, 2015 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 135 Brant Avenue on Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations in memory of Kazimierz may be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or the St. Joseph's Elevator Fund, would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Kazimierz in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
