Life growing up as an only child in a single parent home can be difficult at times but
I have been very fortunate to have some very important women in my life who have
had much influence in who I have become. My Mom and I made the trip back to Brantford many times as I was growing up and visiting Aunt Mary and Uncle Wally was
always the highlight of the trip for me.
The "Reid" women have always been independent, strong and resilient and I know that Aunt Mary had an enormous influence on my mother and her sisters lives, she was like a "second" mother to them.
She had a very long life and is now at peace.
My thoughts and prayers go out to cousin Dianne, Edward and their families, I know you will miss her very much.
