Boyd, "Shirley" Ann
Passed away peacefully, at the St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre, on July 5th, 2015 in her 77th year. Beloved daughter of the late Catherine (nee Creath), and the late Gordon Harris Boyd Sr. Dear sister of Gordon (Sharon) Boyd, Morton (Patricia) Boyd, and Jane (the late Thomas) Hargreaves. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, and nephews and friends. Shirley was a previous member of the Cerebral Palsy Association, and was a past employee of Arc Industries. She liked to knit, and crochet, and loved to sing hymns, especially Amazing Grace, and Onward Christian Soldiers. She was loved by everyone. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. Donations to the St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre would be appreciated. A Special Thank You to Dr. Hadley, nurses Shannon and Barbara, and the staff on Canary Path at St. Joseph's Lifecare. A tree will be planted in memory of Shirley in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
